con esto nos devuelve el numero de serice tag que corresponde a nuestra maquina.

En versiones anteriores habia estado usando el qtparted o en consola a la manera clasica para poder limpiar y dar formato a las memorias. Ahora que encontre el gnome format esa funcion en especifo es un tanto mas facil de realizar.

Todo me parecia bien hasta que encontre un error, trate de dar formato FAT a una memoria de 8GB y a otra de 1Gb (usb las dos) , salia esto :

Error opening /dev/sdb: Permission denied

Por lo que buscandole en la www encontre algunas soluciones, la mas simple es dar en consola un :

sudo gnome-format

Con esto nos lo abre con los permisos necesarios.
Por el momento esta fue la manera de solucionarlo, en futuro se postearan otras formas que eviten ese error, por lo pronto suficiente para usar la aplicacion en cuestion.

Si alguien sabe algo al respecto, todos estaran agradecidos de recibir info.

Con esto nos pide escoger una ventana de la aplicacion que queremos cerrar, con solo darle click la aplicacion se cerrara.

Como parar el otro “daemon” que tiene ocupado a MySQL para que xampp pueda utilizar su propio servidor de MySQL .

Teclear en consola:

sudo /etc/init.d/mysql stop

con esto se para y no arroja ningun error al ejecutar

Drivel es un editor que se conecta al blog/sitio mediante varios protocolos. De ésta manera es posible redactar y publicar con Drivel desde nuestro escritorio de Gnome.

Lo primero que hay que hacer es desactivar los siguientes plugins en Joomla:

• XML-RPC – Joomla
• XML-RPC – Blogger API

Ahora tenemos que instalar el plugin Movable Type XML-RPC 2.2.1 yendo a ésta dirección. Buscan el plugin en la página y lo instalan.

Una vez listo, tienen que ir a Sitio -> Configuración global -> Activar servicios Web -> Si. Salvamos los cambios y ahora activamos el que instalamos anteriormente.

Ahora instalamos Drivel en su distribución, en Debian (como root):

apt-get install drivel

De Aplicaciones

Al iniciar drivel debemos configurarlo con las siguientes opciones:

• Usuario: nombre de usuario de Joomla
• Contraseña: nuestra pass
• Tipo de Diario: Movable Type
• Dirección del servidor: http://misitio/xmlrpc/index.php

Y ya está, ya se pueden conectar y trabajar con Drivel

desde su escritorio.

ffmpeg Features

* ffmpeg is a command line tool to convert one video file format to another. It also supports grabbing and encoding in real time from a TV card.

* ffserver is an HTTP (RTSP is being developped) multimedia streaming server for live broadcasts. Time shifting of live broadcast is also supported.

* ffplay is a simple media player based on SDL and on the FFmpeg libraries.

* libavcodec is a library containing all the FFmpeg audio/video encoders and decoders. Most codecs were developped from scratch to ensure best performances and high code reusability.

* libavformat is a library containing parsers and generators for all common audio/video formats.

Install ffmpeg Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

convert .flv to .mpg using ffmpeg

First you need to download your .flv file to a folder and you need to Open a terminal window and go in to the .flv file folder and type the following command

ffmpeg -i jokes.flv -ab 56 -ar 22050 -b 500 -s 320×240 jokes.mpg

jokes.flv is the file you want to convert, so the name must be the same as the source file.You can name jokes.mpg whatever you want as long as it has the .mpg extension.

-b bitrate: set the video bitrate in kbit/s (default = 200 kb/s)

-ab bitrate: set the audio bitrate in kbit/s (default = 64)

-ar sample rate: set the audio samplerate in Hz (default = 44100 Hz)

-s size: set frame size. The format is WxH (default 160×128 )

Para instalarlo teclemos en consola

1. Instalarlo.

sudo apt-get install mencoder

2. Ir al directorio donde se encuentra nuestro archivo a convertir:

cd (change directory) al directorio donde esta nuestro archivo

3. Convertir:

mencoder ejemplo.ogg -o ejemplo.avi -oac mp3lame -ovc lavc

Con esto tenemos nuestro archivo convertido a avi

mencoder out.ogg -o out.avi -oac mp3lame -ovc lavc

* out.ogg is the .ogg-file you want to convert
* out.avi is the .avi-file you want to create

* lavc is the used video-codec (here libavcodec)

Al no contar con conexion directa, la unica opcion era descargar el UPDATE e instalarlo por alguna via alternativa, que este caso es hacerlo mediante una memoria USB.
